5 things to look for when choosing the right real estate agent:
Picking the right real estate agent can seem like a daunting task to some. It seems like there’s a million out there all offering thee same service. Who can you trust? How do you know which person is going to really help you the most? While I can’t guarantee every agent is going to be perfect for your situation, I can tell you some things to look for that make a great agent!
Find someone whos has your best interest in mind. If all they keep bringing up is commission then you probably want to steer clear. Make sure to be honest about what you need and what you’re looking for. If they aren't able to accommodate that you should probably look elsewhere.
Don’t focus on experience, choose the person for who they are. Do not choose an agent fully based on experience. Although it may be important you may not have a good chemistry with them. You want to find an agent that you enjoy being around and can get along with because you will be spending a lot of time with them.
Trust your gut! Most of the time when making decisions we as humans use emotion and logic to instead of trusting what our gut says. If something doesn’t feel right do not just push that emotion away. Your gut is probably right. Interview the agent, google them. See what others are saying. Make sure you’re comfortable around them. If you feel they are right for the job, they probably are!
Find someone who works hard and who is punctual. Hard working agents juggle a lot on a daily basis. But a good agent is able to mitigate their time. A good agent will be self motivated and will be on time. If the agent your interviewing seems to be unmotivated, and isn’t on time you may want to rethink your choice.
Find an agent who is attentive to detail. The agent you choose should remember important details about you. Every transaction is different, every client is different. What makes a good agent is one that can cater to each clients needs and is able to make each client’s experience feel more personal.
